no matter what happens to the US, fuck the press, its whats at heart that matters. Soccer has grown unimaginably in this country, and our national team is the reason. Ever since i was a little kid, i watched these guys play, call me stupid, but i watched them grow. 10 years ago who wouldve thought we would take it all the way to the confederations cup final? Nobody, to the USA Mens National Team…. u guys are amazing.

Chills all over. Love this sport. My heart was broken when the US lost to Ghana in 2006 and just this past WC, but I think we can make a nice quarterfinal run in 2014, but it is still to soon to tell.

Overconfidence? HAHA. The USA showed grit and determination during the World Cup, but definitely NOT overconfidence. They came from behind in three different games during the tournament.
Would have loved to have beaten Ghana. I know Team USA put everything out on the field for us. I just hope the US public will continue to watch soccer. Somehow we need to market it and make it grow here in the States. The goal that Landon made in the stoppage time was the best feeling I ever had in sports. Go US!!

Well, Donovan’s goal against Algeria was well worth the 2010 cup! Would have been great to see them continue, but those are the breaks. Still, LD’s last minute goal was worth their being there.
@mindbombdisposal. From an American, Thank You for admiring and supporting the USA soccer team. I wish they would have made it to the Round of 8( Quarterfinals) but at least first they made it to the World Cup, and 2nd they won their Group. We’ll just have to hope the USA qualifies for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Then you never know. But now that the USA is out, I’m rooting for England, and not just because they were in our Group. Because they’re the USA’s allies. So GO ENGLAND!!
We had a good run. We did something we haven’t done in 80 years. Ghana clearly exploited that nagging goal conceding problem that obviously they didn’t fix. And It came back to haunt them. But all this time I was wondering when they were to go and kick in the confed 09′ mode and actually get a decisive victory in the world cup. But, it is a big improvement from last world cup. They flirted with fire and got burned this time. oh well maybe in the next four years if we qualify again.
The US lose to tiny Ghana…what a disgraceful display by the USA. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Overconfidence and swagger was their downfall. US players ot nearly as fit as the players from this small African nation.
