@ThaReaper01 Yep because they don’t care. So actually that’s good so they can really enjoy themselves and have very little expectation if anything the expectation only came from themselves. However that will change now. People will pay attention now at least.

@dartben What he meant was that the players are pretty average individually but as a team have done excellent. That’s just how Irish people talk. We are different to other English speaking countries. Trust me, everyone was happy to see the states progress. They play with the same desire that Irish fans identify with.

@alwayswinit4real Remember the US would ALSO have topped the group if there weren’t two legit goals taken away regardless of that goalkeeping gaffe. However, goalkeepers are part of the game and the goal was perfectly legit. Sore losers look at it as a gaffe, but gaffes are part of the game… own goals are also gaffes that count perfectly well as goals…

Argentina and Brazil are the only two sides of any worth from the entire american continent (North and South).
Compare that with Europe. Spain, England, Germany, Portugal, France and Italy.
Admittedly France and Italy have been piss poor this world cup but in two or three years time they’ll be the powerhouses they used to be.

So happy for the US, really imressed with them so far. I was not expecting much from them as they have a pretty easy qualifying, but they have a real chance of quarter finals maybe even the semies.
You know the football itself is great, but the RTE panel is even more entertaining.
