The song was selected as Coca-Cola’s promotional anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, to be held in South Africa. K’naan is a Somali-Canadian musician. The remix of “Wavin’ Flag” is aspect of Coca-Cola’s global integrated advertising campaign “inspired by the joyous dance celebrations acquainted to Africa.” K’Naan’s “Wavin’ Flag” will be utilized as the songs component during the complete campaign including as the soundtrack on all global Coca-Cola Television commercials for the soccer tournament. K’naan: “We took something like 50 drums and did this nuts mix for it. It really is about the one time that we all get collectively and the globe forgets its conflict and its issues and we concentrate on this unity and celebration.”

@gidosmart it’s okay to think that way mainly because everyone thinks that way. It’s not just about covering your head, it’s about dressing appropriately. The female singer here is Lebanese/Egyptian and I have never seen her wear scanty bikini in her videos. She is not muslim, she is christian. The idea is that the culture is such that they prefer a little modesty in dressing otherwise fashion in middle class folks in arab countries is very high up compared to in the US(that is where I reside)
@gidosmart In arab countries not all arab woman cover their body or head. They only usually do that if they want to or if they are in an area that requires it. For example in lebanon most of the country doesn’t require it and you have people not covered and just liberal the way they want to be.
